Continuing our discussion of biblical personalities who were punished or rewarded measure for measure for their actions, now we explore those were rewarded like Moses’ sister Miriam. The prophet Bilaam was punished, as was Job, but Yisro was rewarded, and so were those heroes of the Jewish people: Yocheved & Miriam, who might have been the same women as another pair of heroes named in the Torah, Shifrah and Puah. We also learn how the Jews came to be enslaved in Egypt.
