Chapter 4, Mishna 1

One liable to pay a fine AND damages for a transgression doesn’t pay the fine if he admits to it without being brought to trial. What if he swears an oath that he didn’t do it, and then he admits it? What if he’s brought to trial and found liable, and he doesn’t pay, and then he denies both the crime and that he was found liable, swear an oath to that effect, and THEN he admits to all of the above? Does he pay the fines? Does he bring an offering for swearing a false oath with respect to damages?
