Discussion of whether/why father can vow nazirus on behalf of minor son. Why can we impose a nazirus vow, but not others? Nazir must shave head at conclusion of nazirus even though not supposed to round off corners of beard, which violates Torah law. When Torah law conflicts with Torah law it’s OK. But if minor son is becoming nazir is not to fulfill vow but for educational purposes (teach your son mitzvot), that doesn’t work because rabbinic law (educate your son) doesn’t trump Torah law. Until when can a father vow that son can be nazir? Until he hits puberty.
