Rainfall is equivalent to the resurrection of the dead. Torah scholars sharpen each other. Rabbi Chanina said, I have learned much from my teachers and more from my friends, but I have learned the most from my students. Torah is compared to water. Only the humble become great Torah scholars. You don’t have to be good-looking to be a great Torah scholar, and good looks can even be a handicap. Rain is withheld from the Jewish people for a list of reasons. When you pray, pray with sincerity! Pray for one thing at a time. Don’t pledge to charity and fail to give it. Tithe and you will become wealthy!
